Our team brings hands-on farming, logistics, procurement and digital operations experience to the work of building reliable agricultural value chains.
Chief Executive OfficerDenis Ssempebwa
Denis leads Devans Agro with practical experience running poultry, goat, banana and coffee operations in Uganda—the same sectors the business supports at commercial scale.
He completed a three-month international agricultural internship at Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten in Germany, facilitated by the Schorlemer Foundation of the German Farmers’ Association. The placement focused on sustainable farming, livestock management and poultry care, bringing hands-on learning back to local operations.
Logistics & ICTKijjambu Fredrick
Fredrick supports procurement, inventory, supplier management, logistics coordination and digital operations. His background spans supply chain, administration, digital marketing and social-media management, data and business systems.
Yego Rice & Tanzania operations
Based in Tanzania, Fredrick contributes to work around Yego Rice and the wider rice value chain, logistics and market operations. The cross-border experience deepens his understanding of product movement, distribution and customer needs.
His professional goal is to help build efficient, technology-supported and sustainable agricultural operations across Tanzania and the wider East African market.

Melody is a Civil Engineering graduate and entrepreneur with a strong interest in business development, marketing and entrepreneurship.
As Marketing Lead at Devans AgroBusiness Ltd, she leads marketing initiatives, strengthens brand visibility and promotes the company’s products and services. She is driven, adaptable and organized, and values continuous growth and practical results.

Herrmannsdorf farm placement, Germany
Denis Ssempebwa and fellow Ugandan trainee Denis Kutosi completed a three-month placement at Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten in Bavaria, hosted by Karl Schweisfurth and facilitated by the Schorlemer Foundation of the German Farmers’ Association.
The exchange brought hands-on exposure to sustainable farming, poultry care and livestock management, while building lasting relationships and comparing German and Ugandan farming practices.
Exploring modern farm equipment
Time at a German agricultural machinery fair offered a closer look at equipment and operational innovations that inform Devans Agro’s interest in efficient, technology-supported farm operations.
Ugandan trainees bring global experience home
The Germany–Uganda exchange was featured in German regional media. Coverage followed the two trainees’ work on a Bavarian host farm, their exchange of ideas on livestock and crop management, and Denis’s experience of local community life and culture.
